It isn't the path we choose

Aloha,

Yesterday I was at Crossfit, I try to go to crossfit once or twice a week to add diversity from my other workouts.  I have made friends with another woman at the gym she is about 1/2 my age,

but when we met something bonded us.

There were a few announcements about an upcoming Christmas party and I asked her if she was going.  She said she didn't celebrate because of religious reasons, I asked her religion and

she shyly responded Jehovah Witness.  This warmed my heart.

I dated a man a few years ago that was a Jehovah Witness, this is an intense religion.  And they get a lot of judgment thrown their way.  This woman at the gym showed so much bravery in sharing this with me - I couldn't help but celebrate inside.

We made a connected because she does service on Friday mornings from 7am-noon, and I meditate on Friday mornings from 7am-noon.

Then, yesterday there was such a sweetness from her - Someone shared that they had been having a rough few weeks with their partner, but it was better now.  She shined with the most compassion that I have seen in awhile.  She said something like - When one person is down the whole community feels it and is affected.  I am glad you are feeling better.

She taught me on a deeper level yesterday -

it isn't the path we choose it's the source that we are connecting to...

I have this thing about me that has shown up a few times in my life - When I taught pilates, I thought it was 'THE THING' and everyone needed to do it and do it the way I was taught.  Then I did it again when I found the Clairvision School of Meditation - it is awesome and everyone needs to meditate 'this way' -- but then I mellowed and realize how much other great, amazing paths their are -

This woman at the gym yesterday demonstrated this so clearly.  She was so bright and so caring -

It wasn't dogma that she was sharing.  It was pure light and love.

This is my goal and sometimes I fall short and start thinking that this way is better than another, but in reality its about what resonates with you.  What can you stick with long enough to cultivate the ability to shine the brightest.  This compassion and love comes from a higher source, what path can solidify your link?

With Love,

Vanessa
